In 2014, Kurt Fedde completed his Bachelor of Music degree at the Eastman School of Music in percussion performance and music education with a certificate from the Arts Leadership Program. He has studied with Michael Burritt, Bill Cahn, Tony Ames, Chip Ross, Jake Nissly, and Rob Marino. Kurt is a core member of the Sound ExChange Project, a contemporary collaborative music group exploring unconventional shows and projects. He has directed shows at venues including ARTISANWorks and Rochester’s Public Market. Kurt has assisted with production for the Chosen Vale International Percussion Festival and John Luther Adams' outdoor percussion piece, Inuksuit, at High Falls during Rochester's Greentopia Festival. Additionally, Kurt interned for Ensemble Signal.
